Mentoring Network for Underrepresented Postdoctoral and Early-Career Faculty Investigators

The goal of this initiative is to enhance the research career progression and success of postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty who are underrepresented in the dental, oral, and craniofacial research workforce. The NIDCR Mentoring Network will facilitate interactions between experienced investigators/mentors and these early career stage investigators, and enhance their professional skills and abilities in pursuing independent dental, oral, and craniofacial research careers.

Need of the hour : Equal representation and opportunity to all

NIDCR initiative of giving better representation and improved networking to early career researchers will be very instrumental and a prudent step in long run. This will give more opportunity to enthusiastic and knowledge seeking young professionals to hone and upgrade their skills and use them for under represented regions .
